The Philadelphia Eagles finally won a Super Bowl last night, beating the New England Patriots 41-33 by taking an early lead and thwarting a Tom Brady-led rally by forcing the NFL MVP to fumble in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles’ title comes despite not being favored to win any of their postseason games and having lost their starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, to injury in December. Replacement Nick Foles had an incredible game, throwing for three touchdowns and catching one on a key fourth-down and goal.

The teams combined for a Super Bowl record 1,151 yards of offense and only punted once between them. Brady and his main target Rob Gronkowski were both incredible in a losing effort. Brady threw for 505 yards and three touchdowns, while Gronk had nine catches for 105 yards and two scores.

Proposed Tennessee Bill Seeks to Ban Fraternities and Sororities

A Democratic lawmaker introduced a bill in the Tennessee state house late last week to ban fraternities and sororities from state colleges and universities. “The continuation of assaults and hazing incidents and just bad behavior — not just in Tennessee, but all over the country — at some point in time, you have to force the argument and force the discussion,” the bill's sponsor, Rep. John DeBerry Jr., said.
