Several dramas have hit the White House this week, topped by President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and the latest on the Russia probe.

CNN reports, “First, it emerged Tuesday that chief of staff John Kelly downgraded the top secret security clearance for the President's son-in-law in a bid to clear up a scandal over whether top administration players are qualified to access the most sensitive intelligence.”
The Washington Post reported that at least four countries had discussed how to manipulate the inexperienced Kushner.

Second, special counsel Robert Mueller is asking questions involving Donald Trump’s business dealings with Russia before his presidential campaign. Meanwhile, the New York Times says U.S. intelligence officials are convinced that Russian operatives meddled in the 2016 election (President Trump still disagrees) and that the midterm elections in November are the next target.

Students Going Back to Marjory Stoneman Douglas Today

Students headed back to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. today, for the first time since an ex-classmate walked in exactly two weeks ago and began shooting, slaughtering 17 people and triggering an angry wave of gun control protests.

Some students feel it's too soon to return, while others think it's a necessary step in the healing process. "I think we're just going to sit in class and all cry together, and, like, just hug each other and know that everyone else is OK in that class," Junior Macie Chapman told NPR.

CMN has a full report on the return right here.
