President Trump Has a Big Budget Proposal

The White House's 2019 budget proposal was released yesterday, with the bold headline being that the administration wants $4.4 trillion for the year. The proposal bears President Trump's vision of an America armed for war, paid for in part by an America that doesn't prioritize education.

The $4.4 trillion is a dramatic increase from the amount of money the Trump administration spent during 2017. Much of the added funds would go toward military spending and funding a wall on the border between the United States and Mexico.

Californian Chloe Kim became the youngest woman to win Olympic snowboarding gold and the second 17-year-old on the U.S. team (Red Gerard) to grab the top spot on the podium at the Pyeongchang Olympics.

And she did it style, with her family — her parents grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and many of her extended family still live there — cheering her on. She was also calm enough to send a few tweets between runs, at one point writing "Wish I finished my breakfast sandwich but my stubborn self decided not to and now I'm getting hangry."

"I'm a little overwhelmed. This is the best outcome I could have asked for," Kim said after grabbing the gold. She became the first woman to land back-to-back 1080s — two triple rotations — and racked up a 98.25 that left the competition eating powder.
