Malia Obama Spotted With British Harvard Boyfriend

The young couple was seen walking around New York City this weekend.

Malia Obama, the eldest of former President Obama’s daughters, was seen hanging out with her Harvard boyfriend Rory Farquharson over the weekend. They were spotted walking through the SoHo neighborhood of New York City together, with Malia rocking an adorable floral dress.

Much like Malia, Farquharson isn’t any old Harvard student. He’s British, and graduated from a “posh” public school in the United Kingdom called the Rugby School, which is the birthplace of the sport of rugby. He was the head boy there and even played rugby himself. He’s a sophomore, placing him a year ahead of Malia in school, but as the same age as her, as she took a gap year before enrollment.

This isn’t the first time the couple has been spotted together, as back in November they were seen kissing at a Harvard Yale football game. A similar element in both of these sightings is a cigarette, as Malia was seen smoking one at the game, and Farquharson stopped to smoke one during their New York City date.

Plenty of famous power couples met in college. This includes Prince William and Kate Middleton, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, and of course, Malia’s own parents Barack and Michelle Obama. So we’ll see what the future has in store for this young couple.
