Batman Beyond: Ben Affleck Visits 11 Year Old with Terminal Cancer
Imagine being Batman’s biggest fan, and then to hear “I’m Batman” in person? This superhero got to thanks to Ben Affleck!
11-year-old refugee, Mukuta who is currently battling terminal cancer at Hospice Atlanta. Ths young boy showed a passion for all things Batman and longed to see an impersonator of his hero.
Ben Affleck did that and so much more. With this little man’s final days; Affleck took some time out of filming schedule for his upcoming movie Triple Frontier. Affleck is deeply involved in charity work in the Congo and quickly contacted him via Skype.
A report from 11alivenews states “Our goal as a hospice team, especially in pediatric care, is to provide care for the entire family unit,” Shortell told 11Alive’s Bill Liss. “It’s very important for Mukuta now, but its also very important for Mukuta’s parents and his siblings, later. And trying to merge those, when you have half the family on the other side of the world, has been quite a barrier.”
