Global Atlantic Launches College Scholarship Program

Global Atlantic Financial Group (“Global Atlantic”), a leading insurance company meeting the retirement and life insurance needs of individuals and institutions, recently announced the launch of the Global Atlantic Scholarship Program, according to a press release. This new initiative will help support individuals on their educational journey as they pursue their undergraduate degrees with an interest in the insurance or financial sectors. The program is designed to have a strong focus on assisting students from underserved backgrounds.

For the inaugural year of the program, Global Atlantic will award 10 one-time scholarships of $5,000 each to students entering their sophomore year at a four-year college or university in the United States. The firm’s investment in the education of these students reflects its commitment to fostering inclusivity and promoting equal opportunities in higher education.

“We believe that every individual should have the opportunity to pursue their academic dreams without the burden of financial constraints,” said Shellie Peters, Head of Charitable Giving and Benefits at Global Atlantic. “We are proud to support the next generation of insurance and financial services leaders. This program is in line with several other scholarship initiatives Global Atlantic has launched and continues to support.”

“Education is one of the most powerful tools that an individual can possess. It has the power to break down barriers, propel dreams, and make a meaningful difference in the world around us,” said Ashanti Osbourne, Head of DE&I for Global Atlantic. “As stewards of corporate citizenship and believers in inclusion, we feel providing financial support is a meaningful way to empower the talent of the future.”
