Mac Miller’s Death Continues to Impact People Weeks After His Passing

A talented artist is greatly missed.



Mac Miller, producer and rapper, was pronounced dead on September 7, 2018 of an apparent overdose. The late star was discovered in his California home unresponsive and the definitive cause of death has still yet to be confirmed.

Two weeks have now passed since Miller passed away and there are several unanswered questions remaining. It was stated that his home was swept clean prior to police investigation and suspicions around this aspect of the story continue to be discussed among the general public and higher authorities. Miller’s home was reportedly clean and did not have any pill bottles or drug paraphernalia.

Although an autopsy had been performed on the late rapper, more tests are needed to conclude what happened on September 7, 2018.

The impact of Mac Miller’s death is one thing that is not uncertain in this case. His fans understandably remain devastated and friends of the 26-year-old are still in shock he is gone. His ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, took to Instagram about a week after Miller’s death, and her initial tribute post with no caption, to write a heartfelt message. “I adored you from the day I met you when I was 19 and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it,” Grande wrote. The singer also skipped the Emmy’s and postponed working on new music because she wanted to take more time to grieve and process it all.

Many other celebrities have expressed their emotions regarding Miller’s passing via social media and in person. Some friends and admirers of his, including rapper G-Eazy and singer Elton John, performed tributes at their live shows in his honor.

Miller’s albums have risen on the Billboard charts and his latest album, “Swimming,” has now reappeared on the Billboard 200 Top 10. Fans are remembering times they listened to his music and are celebrating the memories they were able to make because of him. The late rapper’s streams have increased over 970% since the tragedy.

Fans around the world continue to mourn Mac Miller and remember him for his kind heart, genuine soul and one of a kind talent. It is clear that Miller will always be admired as both an artist and a person who will never be forgotten.
