First Lady Melania Trump Undergoes ‘Embolization Procedure’ to Treat Kidney Condition
The first lady is expected to remain hospitalized for the duration of the week
The White House announced Monday that first lady Melania Trump has been hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center following a surgical procedure to treat a kidney condition.
In a press release issued by the first lady’s communications director, the first lady’s “embolization procedure” went smoothly without any complications. The first lady will be recuperating at the hospital for the rest of the week before she resumes “her work on behalf of children everywhere.”
CNN reports that President Trump remained at the White House during the first lady’s medical procedure and is expected to pay her a visit at the hospital shortly.
