New Prince Album Revealed on the Late Singer’s 60th Birthday
This one goes out to the Prince fans.
Prince fans receive a special gift in honor of the late singer’s 60th birthday.
An announcement by the Prince Estate and Warner Bros. Records revealed the release of Piano & A Microphone 1983. The album title is an ode to the singer’s final concert series before his career ended.
According to the Prince Estate the album set to arrive September 21 will consist of nine tracks from cassette recordings done by Prince in his Minnesota home. The tracks reportedly capture the singer working out future classics such as “Purple Rain”and “17 Days”.
The album will play through in its original order as Prince developed each song, similar to how the singer would do spontaneous melodies on stage.
Piano & A Microphone 1983 is available for pre-order digitally as well as by CD and vinyl. A deluxe edition will include a special booklet featuring notes and unseen photographs of the late singer.
