The big story…
Vermont Senator and former Vermont Congressman Bernie Sanders announced on Tuesday, Feb. 19 his own presidential campaign for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination. If he becomes the political party’s nominee and defeats incumbent Republican President Donald Trump, he will become the country’s oldest president ever elected at 79 years old, since former president Ronald Reagan, who was 69 years old at the beginning of his term in 1981, and Trump, who was 70 years old at the beginning of his term in 2017. Sanders will also become the country’s first Jewish American president as well as the first openly socialist president if elected. Read more in Duane Paul Murphy’s report for CMN.

Nearly 20 million are facing a flood warning, watch or a flash flood watch across the Southeast.” The heaviest snow will hot between Omaha and the Twin Cities, with much of the Pacific Northwest under winter weather warnings and watches as well.

The former U.S. Air Force major and author, whose congressional district includes portions of Salt Lake City and rural southern as well as western regions of the state, believes that his newly formed caucus will highlight criticism and concerns regarding the leftist sociopolitical ideology.
